On April 16, 2024, a scientific and practical conference with international participation "MEDICINE OF THE FUTURE. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN MEDICINE" was held at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The conference is organized by the Department of Clinical Disciplines of the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare and the Department of Artificial Intelligence and BIG DATA of the Faculty of Information Technology.
The conference is dedicated to innovative areas in various fields of medicine and information technology. The purpose of the conference is to create a platform for discussion among academics, researchers and practitioners to discuss important issues of biomedicine, clinical medicine, public health, information systems and statistics, as well as to establish new opportunities for cooperation in these areas.
The conference brought together professors, doctors, experts in mathematics, artificial intelligence and information technology, and interested guests from the healthcare and information technology sectors. More than 100 listeners took part in the face-to-face format, 101 people joined the broadcast.
In total, 18 reports were presented in two sections with the participation of leading professors from Russia, Portugal, China, and Kazakhstan. Among them are the head of the Laboratory of Vaccine Prophylaxis and Immunotherapy of Allergic Diseases of the I.I. Mechnikov Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Mikhail Petrovich Kostinov; electrical engineer and Associate Professor at ISCTE (Instituto Universitario de Lisboa), Senior Researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications (Lisbon, Portugal) Octavian Adrian Postolache; PhD, Associate Professor at the University Fudan Siming Chen.
At the conference "Medicine of the future. Artificial intelligence in medicine" offered the latest scientific achievements, factual and practical data on how to help patients live longer and healthier. Leading scientists shared scientific achievements and evidence on what the future of medicine looks like, with a tangible shift towards clinical medicine and artificial intelligence. This event was intended for medical professionals and made a significant contribution to their continuous professional development.
