On February 29, 2024, the International Student Conference "Fundamental and Clinical Aspects of orphan diseases" was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, dedicated to the Day of Rare Diseases and the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Orphan diseases are rare, little–studied conditions and diseases, the specific treatment methods of which are still little known.
