International Student Conference “Fundamental and Clinical Aspects of Orphan Diseases”

INFORMATION LETTER

Dear students and scientific advisers!

 

The Higher School of Medicine of Faculty of Medicine and Health at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Al-Farabi KazNU) invites you to take part in the International Student Conference “Fundamental and Clinical Aspects of Orphan Diseases”, dedicated to the International Day of Rare Diseases and 90 -anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU. The conference will be held in a hybrid format on February 29, 2024.

 

Main directions of the conference:

1. Orphan diseases: molecular pathogenesis, modern diagnostic technologies, and approaches to treatment.

2. Rare and unknown diseases in the practice of doctors of various specialties.

3. Atypical manifestations and complications of common diseases.

4. Rehabilitation of patients with orphan diseases.

5. Analysis of clinical cases.

 

 

Participants: students, interns, master students, PhD students, residents, young scientists (up to 35 years old)

 

The official conference languages: Kazakh, Russian, English.

Forms of participation: report, conference attendance.

Presentation time: 10 minutes.

Abstracts and articles are accepted until February 22, 2024 by e-mail: dcs.conference2023@gmail.com.

The conference materials will be published in a special collection of the conference.

 

Rules for an article/abstract:

1) the title of the article/abstract;

2) full name of the author(s) (the maximum number of authors is five);

3) name of the institution, city, country;

4) text (introduction, methods, results, conclusion, references for the article)

5) Times New Roman font - 12, 1 interval, margins at the top, bottom, right and left - 2 cm.

6) page orientation - only portrait;

7) the volume of abstract - 1 page, article - 3-5 pages.

 

Rules for the design of a poster report

1) title of the poster presentation;

2) full name of the author(s);

3) the supervisor of the scientific work;

4) name of the institution, city, country;

5) main part (introduction, methods, results, conclusion, references);

5) the poster is provided in PowerPoint format (no more than 3 slides).
